I know I'm preaching to the choir, but Saturday nights MAY have changed for some...
Back in the day, we may have enjoyed going out, having dinner, staying out late.
NOW, seems like staying up until 11pm on a Saturday night is a BIG night! (Can I get an AMEN?!)
Well, my mom (she's also part of my team) flew up for a surprise visit. She knew I had two card classes during her visit. BUT I also have Ronald McDonald House today as well. I've been putting her to work during this visit! :)
While I try to prep a few days in advance, this past week has been a WHIRLWIND! Sunday, I returned home from Salt Lake City and #OnStage2017; Tuesday was my Latte Joy Team Meeting; Thursday was Christmas Card Class; and Saturday was Coffee and Cards. Busy, busy, busy!
So, mom and I were prepping for TODAY'S Ronald McDonald House. Did you know that Stampin'Up! is a sponsor for Ronald McDonald House Charities? Did you know that we craft ONCE A MONTH with the residents at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House? YUP! We craft each month on the THIRD SUNDAY and we have an absolute BLAST! The kids are SO MUCH FUN!
Now... I'm not gonna give away the surprise for our goofy turkey, stuffed with CHOCOLATE, but I think the kids will have an absolute BLAST! Want to see what supplies I'm taking with me today?
|Different colored "leaves," googly eyes, and plenty of extra adhesives!|
Mom must have punched out about 500 of those leaves in different (retired) colors! I had the MOST FUN placing those colored googly eyes onto the glue dots. And each time I look at my goofy turkey sample, I just smile and giggle; he's so silly looking!
Can't wait to "play" with our turkeys today at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House!
